Crunchy Cookies




  • 2 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 2 cups rice krispies
  • 1 cup nuts (I used pecans)


  1. In a large bowl cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla and mix.
  2. In a separate bowl combine dry ingredients.
  3. Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix.
  4. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto a cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes. Darker pans might require only 8-10 minutes.
  5. Cool on wire cooling rack.
