Kale Smoothie

Kale? Yes, the trendy superfood has finally made an appearance in my kitchen. Last weekend we tried some roasted kale with some sea salt seasoning. It was… a strong flavor and I ended up with green stuff in my teeth.

Conclusion:  It was ok. Not bad…but definitely a snack to eat at home.

Remember how I am trying new things everyday this year?

Today I made a delicious kale smoothie.



  • 1 cup fresh kale
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 of an avocado
  • 1/3 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup fat free vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 1/2 cup mango ( I used frozen)
  • 9 whole almonds
  • Chia seeds (optional)


Blend well and enjoy!
