Ollie’s third month has been a month of new adventures.
Everyone at our home has been doing something new, or in many cases, lots of things. From taking our first family-of-three road trip to Ollie gaining a full-time stay at home mom, we have been busy figuring out our exciting new adventures.
You can read about Ollie’s second month here.
Ollie’s is getting so big! At her last weigh in she weighed 12 lb 3 oz, but I suspect she has gained a bit more since then. She has outgrown most of her 3 month clothes, so now we are in the awkward transition to the 6 month outfits.
Month 3 Ollie Facts
She LOVES looking at and cooing to the light fixtures on the ceiling.
She still takes the best naps in the mornings.
She really loves to keep mom on a prompt nursing schedule.
She doesn’t enjoy laying down for too long.
She likes to stretch out on her play mat.
She is getting very good at grasping her toys.
She is very sweet to her babysitters when mom and dad are busy.
She has been sleeping from 9 PM to 6 AM each night.
She loves her OSU Bullet security blanket.
She is starting to love being outside.
She is learning to soothe herself to sleep.
She met her Great Grandma Green for the first time.
She drools ALL the time.
She smiles instantly when she spots mom or dad.
She enjoys taking baths.
She is thinking about loving bedtime stories.
Month 3 Mom & Dad Stuff
We are completely smitten with Ollie.
We are constantly surprised with how much she smiles.
We are so glad that she is such a great sleeper.
We can’t wait until she starts paying more attention to us than the light fixtures.
We are still not sorry for becoming the parents who flood newsfeeds with pictures of their baby.
We sometimes can be convinced to rock to sleep…but not too often.
We are ready to hear her laugh for the first time.
We are figuring out life with mom at home.
We treasure time with just the three of us.
We were a tad bit nervous about how Ollie’s first trip to the panhandle would go.
We are doing a whole lot of snuggling these days.
We conquered our first girls only weekend while dad was out of town.
We are THANKFUL for all of the encouragement, prayers, assistance, and visits from our wonderful friends and family over the last month.
It has been a great month for Ollie and a great month at the Cavin house. If you are on Facebook or Instagram you can follow our adventures regularly by looking for #olliejujubee.
Until next time,
