The Monthly Ollie: Volume 11

***Friends and family who are wanting these Ollie updates can look over to the right of this post and find a way to input your email to receive blog updates through email instead of social media or just happening upon the blog.***

Ollie’s eleventh month has been a month of being busy.

This month was full of so much to do! Our November was chalk full of obstacles and opportunities we got the chance to tackle and while we are happy to be on the other side of it, it was enjoyable as well. From first time hotel trips to hosting a lot of people at our home for Thanksgiving, Ollie got to practice her flexibility skills as we continuously adapted her normal routine. She was a champ and we had minimal breakdowns aside from some very rough teething periods.

Ollie is a strong, intelligent, and very quick 11 month old. We are extremely blessed parents.

You can read about Ollie’s tenth month here.

Month 11 Ollie Facts

She still LOVES looking at her board books!

She is taking a long morning afternoon nap and the “power nap” version of an afternoon nap.

She prefers to crawl, but will walk along things if necessary.

She has figured out how to open cabinets, string out the toilet paper, and unlock the dog kennel.

She enjoys going shopping with mom and prefers sitting in the basket of the cart.

She treasures her independence and time to herself.

She will carry on a conversation with anyone who will listen.

She will mimic almost everything she hears.

She goes to bed around 7 PM and wakes up around 7AM.

She is over some of her separation anxiety, as long as Bullet is around.

She enjoyed her first movie with mom and dad during our first ever Saturday family movie night.

She loves visiting the church nursery and Spontaneity to play with other babies.

She carries her Bullet blanket everywhere.

She loves getting the pots and lids out of the cabinet.

She can wave “bye” and, kind of, sometimes blow a kiss.

She will try to climb up the stairs if the gate is not set.

She smiles instantly when she sees or hears mom or dad….especially dad.

She loves people watching.

She is officially weaned and only on table food.

She is very ticklish.

She wants to have two front teeth by Christmas…it’s all she wants. (I apologize, had to)

She LOVED Thanksgiving and all the food she got to try.

She can eat an entire cinnamon roll by herself.

She now insists that food is shared with her…thank you, Thanksgiving.

She loves bath time!

She is turning into such a big girl! (see picture below…she is sitting in the doctor’s office waiting room in her own chair waiting for her flu shot)

Favorite Food:  Chicken Nuggets or Breakfast Sausage

Second favorite:  Cinnamon Rolls

Month 11 Mom & Dad Stuff

We can’t believe we only have one more month until we have a 1 year old!

We enjoy carrying on conversations with her.

We love watching her play independently.

We are excited that she is starting to figure out walking.

We love being able to eat together without making too many adaptations to her meal.

We enjoy listening to all of the silly sounds Ollie makes.

We will never get tired of seeing her smile.

We are really figuring out the baby proofing “hot spots” in the house.

We are excited to go overboard with holidays!

We are still not sorry for becoming the parents who flood newsfeeds with pictures of their baby…

We love that we can take her pretty much anywhere and know she will behave.

We really hate teething.

We are always learning more about her personality.

We love time with just the three of us.

We are excited to watch our baby grow and develop into a more curious and intelligent little being.

We are THANKFUL for all of the encouragement, prayers, assistance, and visits from our wonderful friends and family over the last month.

It has been a great month for Ollie and a great month at the Cavin house. If you are on Facebook or Instagram you can follow our adventures regularly by looking for #olliejujubee.

Until next time,

Mrs. Cavin
